Many thanks for showing the Virginia Tech Chemical Application class the CWC herbicide distribution facility, and talking about the innovative products and services CWC provides.
This visit demonstrated that a great deal of careful planning is involved in safe and proper pesticide use. In addition, it showed the students a very successful business that operates efficiently while promoting both personal safety and environmental stewardship and providing a high level of customer service.
The students truly enjoy this opportunity, and I appreciate your time and shared expertise.
I can tell from the answers on the assignment sheet and student comments/questions that your presentation was well-received and interesting.

Sincerely,

Pat

On behalf of Local 1919 IBEW and all our Pesticide Applicators on the Duquesne Light project, I would like to say thank you very much for helping us with the credit class on August 24. Your insight and input is invaluable to us all, and the class you did for us enabled all in attendance to maintain our certification into the next license cycle. We could not have done it without you. You are very good at educating us and keeping interest with your down to earthy style and nature pics that you include with your presentations.

Larry, It was a true pleasure to meet you and spend some time together. I wanted to send this note to express my personal appreciation as well as Duke Energy’s for all you and CWC do to support Duke Energy as well as the industry. Your leadership and vision has allowed us to pull together one of the best supply chain teams that I have been involved with in my career. As I spoke with Bob Meffert, who is new to our program, he was simply amazed at the folks, organizations, ..that are involved behind the scenes. It is a very impressive team with CWC, Aqumix, Dow, DuPont, Southeast Woodlands, Superior Forestry, Weed Control and Duke Energy. It makes me proud to know that we have such a quality supply network to support our right of way program. Again, thanks for your and your partners’ vision to build such a strong team to support Duke Energy! In addition, please pass on a special “Thank You” to JR, Doug and Jason for being such wonderful host. I know everyone had a great time and enjoyed the fellowship together in beautiful Roanoke! Thanks again for all you do!

Dear J. R., Many thanks for giving the Virginia Tech Chemical Application class an overview of Integrated Vegetation Management principles and practices. Prior to this field trip, most of the students had not been exposed to the reasons for managing vegetation on rights-of-way, industrial sites, and forestry. This visit demonstrates that a great deal of careful planning is involved in safe and proper pesticide use. In addition, the equipment and procedures demonstrated at CWC, and CWC’s partnership with Aqumix/CPS, provide the students with useful models for successful businesses that promote both personal safety and environmental stewardship. The students truly enjoy this opportunity, and I appreciate your help and shared expertise. Sincerely, Patricia A. Hipkins Senior Research Associate cc: L. E. Sharp, D. R. We, Duke Power, have had a business relationship with CWC Chemical since the early 1990s. We have found this Corporation to be extremely good to work with on all of our herbicide needs. Their prices are competitive and their support services exemplary!

J.R. Gerst, who is our main contact at CWC, has shown the utmost expertise in the products we are utilizing and the mechanics behind our application equipment and procedures. He has proven very proactive in several situations with our Company that resulted in cost-savings to our herbicide program…We highly recommend the services and products supplied by CWC and their personnel. We anticipate our continuing long-term relationship with CWC based on excellent customer service, support and products we receive from them.

Tony R. Adcock, Manager T&D Right-of-Way, Duke Power Company
Since 1994, we have used herbicides as an integral component of our vegetation management program. CWC has provided these herbicides accompanied by their expertise in nothing less than a high quality professional manner…The staff of CWC is nothing less than professional We have frequently called upon them to speak at meetings, respond to specific customer concerns, train applicators in the field , provide reports on herbicide usage, and establish herbicide test plots. All of these services have been willingly and competently afforded to us. I strongly recommend the use of CWC products and professional service. I anticipate that Duquesne Light Company will continue its relationship with CWC based upon the high standards they have established for their products, services and support.

Jennifer Arkett, Manager, Vegetation Management, Duquesne Light Company
Our preferred supplier of herbicides over the past eight years has be J.R. Gerst. That relationship will remain the same. J.R. has brought forward an opportunity to me that would allow for close partnering with branded manufacturing and allow for us to offer longer-term contracts to our respective customers in the utility marketplace.

Lou Nekola, President, Nelson Tree Service, Inc.
CWC Chemical has always provided fantastic customer support and it’s easy to see why with representatives such as Ms.Justice. Thank you again for Ms.Justice’s fabulous assistance and as always, we look forward to doing business with you in the future.

Many thanks for giving the Virginia Tech Chemical Application class an overview of the Integrated Vegetation Management business in general, and then discussing CWC’s sales and custom-blending operations and the Aqumix “closed loop” Packaging / Container Management System.

The students benefited greatly by learning, firsthand, about the “whys” and “hows” of vegetation management in forestry and rights-of way. We appreciate the fact that, as you described CWC’s success as a distributor of vegetation management products, you stressed the importance of customer service. The students were very impressedwith the Aqumix closed-loop system and the advantages it offers. Moreover, the visit to Aqumix afforded them with an opportunity to view a “state of the art” containment and handling facility.

This visit demonstrates that a great deal of careful planning is involved in safe and proper pesticide use. It also illustrates why-and how-to minimize or eliminate the waste generated by pesticide use:both products and containers. The equipment and procedures demonstrated at CWC and Aqumix provide the students with useful models for personal safety and environmental stewardship.

The students truly enjoy this opportunity, and we appreciate your support.
